As part of franchisor Paul Davis Restoration Inc.'s national partnership with NFFF which began in 2018, the local office sponsored a charity golf tournament in Cobb County that raised more than $30,000. Funds will help to honor and remember fallen heroes, provide resources for families rebuilding their lives, and work within the fire service community to reduce firefighter deaths and injuries. The golf event, Metro Atlanta Firefighter Classic was held on November 9 at Indian Hills Country Club in Marietta, Ga.
According to Wilson Tomala, Paul Davis office owner, more than 100 golfers and 25 sponsors contributed to the golf event with funding and in-kind services including participants from local and regional fire departments, the insurance industry, and a myriad of enterprises. Brad Grimes, Paul Davis' Business Development Manager and Emergency Recovery Coordinator, served as the tournament committee chairman with assistance from Paul Davis office staff in South Atlanta and Lanier Isles.
"Paul Davis provides extraordinary care on the job while serving people who experience disasters at home and in business. With that in mind, the corporate and local office constantly gives back to local communities with the understanding to first serve others," he said. "The golf tournament provided a positive experience for company staff and caring neighbors who bonded with the brotherhood of local and statewide firefighters."
