Nordic Oil announces commitment to remove two tonnes of plastic from the ocean
Working with ReSea Project, Nordic Oil's "Green Friday" campaign will commit to donating profits to support the ocean clean-up.
The activation aims to bring awareness to the plight of the world's oceans: every day, 8 million pieces of plastic make their way into the seas, and during the Black Friday sales period, this is expected to increase considerably. Nordic Oil will therefore fund the collection of 1/4kg of plastic for every order placed during the Black Friday period, when they will offer 40% off the entire Nordic Oil store. In anticipation of this, they have already committed to removing at least two tonnes of plastic. Nordic Oil will work alongside ReSea Project, who work in Indonesia to remove plastic from the oceans using a closed system cleanup strategy.
