-- IRCC announced its latest Express Entry Draw on November 18, 2020 and issued a total of 5,000 candidates who applied under the Express entry program. It is the 167th
draw held by IRCC and all the immigration candidates who applied under any of the economic immigration streams of Express entry be it FSWP (Federal skilled workers program), FSTP (Federal skilled trades program) and CEC (Canadian Experience Class) were invited in the latest draw.
In order to receive an ITA (Invitation to apply), the candidates needed a CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score of 472 i.e. 6 points less than the previous express entry draw held on November 6, 2020. A tie-breaking rule was applied in the latest draw held on November 18, 2020 that candidates having CRS score of 472 or more who submitted their profiles before October 27, 2020 at 06:18:11were issued an invitation to apply for Canada's permanent residence.
The Express entry is the fastest and the easiest way of applying for and getting hold of Canada's permanent residence. Once you have received an ITA (Invitation to apply) and have submitted your PR application, your PR application will be processed within 6 months. This year, despite the disruption caused by the corona virus, the IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) has created a record by holding the largest draw ever inviting a total of 5,000 candidates.
The Express entry is an active immigration process which has three stages as per which the interested candidates who meet the 67 point criteria can submit an EE form online. Secondly, the aspiring candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are then entered into the express entry pool. Thirdly, the candidates who meet the CRS cut-off and whose profiles align with the needs of the Canadian government and employer are sent an ITA to apply for Canada's Permanent Residence.
