Better Together to host Southwest Florida Virtual Job Fair Nov. 19

NAPLES, Fla. - Nov. 16, 2020 - PRLog -- Better Together is partnering with Covenant Church of Naples to host a virtual job fair on Thursday, Nov. 19 for Southwest Florida residents.

Taking place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 19, this virtual job fair will connect hundreds of people in Southwest Florida with dozens of employers that need to fill a variety of job opportunities. To prepare for the job fair, participants can also participate in free one-on-one job coaching sessions on Nov. 16-18, connecting virtually with trained volunteer job coaches to review resumes and interviewing skills.

The virtual job fair is part of Better Together's Better Jobs Program. Better Jobs is a church-driven job fair program that has helped nearly 28,000 job seekers connect with employment opportunities through church-based job fairs across 20 states. At job fairs hosted by Better Together, two-thirds of job fair attendees get a job interview, and one out of four receives a job offer on the spot.

"We are finding creative ways to connect local job seekers and employers while preserving social distancing and keeping families safe," commented Megan Rose, CEO of Better Together. "Jobs are critical right now, and we want to do our part in connecting people with opportunities to provide for their families."

Participating employers for the Nov. 19 job fair include Advance Auto Parts, Estate Landscaping, Collier County Public Schools, Florida Department of Children and Families, GardenHaus Academy, Gulf Coast Village, Home Instead Senior Care, Lee Health, The Moorings Country Club Naples, Moorings Park, PGA Tour Super Store, Spherion Staffing Services, St. Matthew's House, US Sign and Mill, and Vi at Bentley Village.
