PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Nov. 10, 2020 - PRLog -- The Red Velvet Shoe Vintage Clothing is hosting an online Facebook Live Vintage Shopping Party on Monday, November 16, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. EST.

Part of the proceeds from the sale will help Michelle Horlbogen, founder of The Gentlewoman Boss, in her work with targets of workplace abuse & bullying.

About Michelle:

After getting a call one morning that I'd been fired just days after voicing ethical concerns to my employer, I found myself really thinking about what it means to be a good Leader and Boss. I needed to restore my faith in the employer/employee relationship, particularly in women working for and with other women. My experience made it painfully apparent that, close on the heels of the Me Too Movement, was another sinister and rarely discussed threat in the workplace: women harassing and bullying other women. The Mean Girls are now The Mean Bosses, and even the men are running scared.

While everyone has the responsibility to speak up against bullying, those with a fiduciary responsibility to preserve, protect and defend workplaces must be willing to face this kind of culture and be courageous enough to do whatever it takes to fix it.  Should they choose not to, it's high time they are held accountable for allowing workplace abuse to destroy, not only people's careers, but sometimes their lives.

By choosing transparency and focusing on helping others by telling my story and raising awareness, I'm turning a personal and traumatic NEGATIVE into what is becoming a public and very empowering POSITIVE toward change & accountability.  My posts about the topics of workplace bullying and toxic workplace cultures have trended on LinkedIn with over 200,000 views . . . & climbing.

My mission is to foster civility, respect, and integrity in the boardroom and beyond and to help people who have been targets of workplace bullying and harassment find their voice by leading with transparency about my own experience, making myself accessible to them as a mentor, writing and sharing empowering material and content about workplace abuse and board accountability, as well as speaking publicly on the topic.

The show will be pre-recorded with host Michelle Horlbogen available in live-time to answer questions about the items for sale and her advocacy work.
