Southern Ocean Chamber CEO scheduled speaker at NJ Conference on Tourism

SHIP BOTTOM, N.J. - Nov. 10, 2020 - PRLog -- The state's annual tourism conference will be held online December 2 & 3 this year due to COVID19 restrictions. The host, New Jersey Tourism Industry Association has planned a full schedule thanks to presenters and sponsors.

There are several keynote and breakout sessions planned including invited guests Gov Phil Murphy and Secretary of State Tahesha Way. The LBI Region will be represented as Southern Ocean County CEO, Lori Pepenella joins in a keynote session on Wednesday December 3 regarding COVID Best Practices. The session panel features Tom Consentino of the Garden State Wine Growers Association and Peggy Kelly Director of Hudson County Tourism Marketing. The panel discusses the unprecedented year and the few examples of destination marketing that was able to gain positive nationwide attention. Pepenella will discuss the pivot of two economic drivers the 2020 Wedding Road Show and Party Planning Tour as well as the 2020 Chowdermonth.

Both these events were able to capture consumer support and stimulate direct economic impact for the chamber members that participated.
