SC's NHE Announces Construction Start for Parkside at Hickory Grove Affordable Housing in NC
Parkside at Hickory Grove is a joint venture of NHE, SCG Development Partners and Creative Builders of Greenville, South Carolina, with support from Steele Group Architects and Design Resource Group. The purpose of the initiative is to continue to expand availability of high quality, affordable housing in communities across the Carolinas where growth has created strong need for affordable housing to keep pace with strong population growth. Apartment units at Parkside at Hickory Grove are available to prospective tenants with household incomes varying from 30% to 80% of area median levels for the area.
The Parkside at Hickory Grove community is located at 5100 Little Greenleaf Way in Charlotte, a new road at the intersection of Shamrock Drive and Hickory Grove Road. The 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartment homes are located with excellent proximity to the community's main commercial corridor. The community is easily accessible to schools, three grocery stores, four pharmacies, a branch library and a senior recreational center, and is served by two bus routes offering service to the VA Hospital, UNC Charlotte, Eastland Community Transit Center Hub and other important retail outlets.
