WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Nov. 2, 2020 - PRLog -- Hospitality Helping Hands, Bahamas Relief Cruise Open House and Christening of two Container Homes to donate to The Bahamas.

Hospitality Helping Hands & Bahamas Relief Cruise

West Palm Beach, November 1st, 2020 - Hospitality Helping Hands and Bahamas Relief Cruise have completed two shipping container homes that will be donated to two families that have lost their homes due to the tragic events of Hurricane Dorian last year.

Hospitality Helping Hands and Bahamas Relief Cruise will be holding an Open House and Christening of the two completed Bahamas Housing Containers on Friday November 13th 6pm to 9pm at their warehouse at 2603 Pinewood Ave, West Palm Beach, Florida. Two Bahamian families that lost their homes from Hurricane Dorian last year will receive these homes installed on their property at no cost to them. These two shipping containers have been converted into 1-bedroom housing units that can withstand 170mph winds (future containers will be rated for 200mph). Our hope is with these 2 prototype containers we can demonstrate the cost effectiveness and hurricane survivability of these structures as a way to rebuild so many homes decimated on the islands of Grand Bahamas and Abaco.

Meet the artists whose murals adorn the two containers, Bahamian artist Matt Wildgoosetheartofmattwild.com and local artist Adam Sheetz adamsheetzart.wixsite.com/adamsheetzart

In a continuing effort to support our Bahamian neighbors, Hospitality Helping Hands and Bahamas Relief Cruise is dedicated to providing a quick and cost-effective permanent housing solution for those who lost everything in the storm's destruction. The container homes will provide that solution by offering a starter home for the Bahamians, so they can return to their properties and establish some normalcy. These container homes are being constructed to weather the most severe storms and be resistant to flooding by incorporating waterproof building materials.

In helping Bahamians return to their properties, it will allow the local businesses to re- emerge and help jump start the economic engine, that is so vital for the rebuilding of the Bahamas.

To this date there has been little reconstruction and few families have been able to return to their damaged homes one year after the storm.

Opportunities for the media to travel with the Bahamas Relief Cruise and Hospitality Helping Hands volunteers to the Bahamas for the installation and setup of the container homes are available.
