By: Rotary Club of St. Augustine Beach Flags will be placed at the donor's local location from Saturday, November 7 until Saturday, November 14. Sponsorships are available starting at $50 for each flag, and $500 to $1,000 with a variety of benefits including varying quantities of customized flags and a banner to display in front of the donor's place of business, installation, name recognition on social media and on a large banner to be displayed at Anastasia Baptist Church, 1650 A1A S. in St. Augustine, among others. All proceeds will go to local nonprofits including St. Francis Crisis Housing Center, Port In The Storm Homeless Youth Center, Tools 4 Schools, St. Augustine Beach Rotary Club Youth Programs, St. Augustine Walk to Defeat ALS, and additional sponsored local charities. According to Lacey J. Conner, President of Rotary Club of St. Augustine Beach, the local service organization and its members offer special thanks to those being honored. "By becoming an individual, family, or corporate sponsor of the Flags For Our Heroes project, you are partnering in a community celebration that shows respect for heroes of all kinds," said Conner. "Contributions will help to venerate and visualize Veteran's Day and dates surrounding the celebration in hopes of affecting everyone who views the flag and banner displays," she said. "We will also honor heroes with a Rotary Club of St. Augustine Beach certificate and Rotary International pin."
