Westside Kia Talks about the Upcoming K5

The next-generation Kia Optima/K5 sedan now has bolder, feature-packed, more technically enhanced and all-new powertrain options.
According to South Korean carmakers' data, all 1.6-liter T-GDi and 2.0-litre MPI engines are combined as standard with a 6-speed or 8-speed automatic transmission. Still, the 2.5-liter T-GDi engine is also compatible with the new 8-speed wet-type dual-clutch transmission (8DCT).
The new Kia K5 sedan is expected to come with a more driver-oriented interior and minimal cabin design. Kia Motors say the more comprehensive dashboard and its horizontal symmetry give it a sense of extra space, while the cabin offers a selection of tactile objects.

It features an 8.0-inch head-up display with driver information in a small glass panel near the driver's sight. The system displays alerts with various car driver technologies, vehicle speed details, and detailed navigation instructions.
K5 is the first Kia available with the company's new Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA), allowing drivers to use their key fob to move their car autonomously from front and rear parking.
Other standard bits include nine airbags, Kia's Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), and electronic stability controls to help the driver maintain control while braking and cornering.
