Author Motaz H. Matar Hosts Reading of The Pigeon Whisperer
The author presents selected readings from his well-received third novel on October 30 via Facebook Live.
Independent Book Review calls The Pigeon Whisperer, "An intoxicating tale of one refugee's destiny."
The Pigeon Whisperer is a mystical and symbolic story with illustrations used as chapter dividers in the book (symbolic elements from Picasso's Guernica) with poetic text/prose. The author is currently based in UAE and spent some time in Berlin, where the book is based. Motaz aims to bridge the western world with the Arab world with his heartfelt and universal stories and he would make an interesting interview.
"It is a magical book which, nevertheless, raises such important issues such as hope, hopelessness, belonging, war, migration, love, and loss." Claudia Cragg. KGNU Radio.
