By: Japanese Martial Arts Center Although the Governor's executive orders have been ruled unconstitutional, JMAC is still bound by Washtenaw County advisory rulings, Michigan Department of Public Health rulings, and a desire to help control the spread of COVID. JMAC will continue with hand sanitizing, disinfecting and ventilating the Center, and requiring social distance and masks. Recognizing that the various court rulings may have prompted more questions than they answered, JMAC provided a list of do's and don'ts they will be following until further notice. Allowed in classes: • Etiquette • Bowing, vocabulary, etc. • Warmups • Solo drills • Basics • Stepping • Movement drills • Kata (pre-arranged forms) • Distanced practice • Solo weapons • Fitness Not allowed in classes: • Close contact throwing • Submission techniques • Grappling • Sparring • Hands on self defense JMAC will always work to protect the safety and health of students, and now is no exception. JMAC is a place to thrive.
