Najm inaugurates its new world-class data center

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia - Oct. 12, 2020 - PRLog -- Najm for Insurance Services has announced inaugurating its new data center recently constructed within its main building.

Through the new center, Najm strives to complete the third phase of its comprehensive BASE strategy adopted in aims to automate all its services and fulfil the directives of Vision 2030, in addition to develop its customer service responsiveness and keep up with the new requirements imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic which urge a rapid shift to digital services.

The new data center was designed and prepared to host all servers, communications, security, and storage systems managed by the IT department which Najm's services rely on. All of Najm's branches and insurance companies will be connected to relevant external parties through this center.

Moreover, the new data center is regarded as the best in its class, and has received the tier-3 certification for globally accredited data centers issued by Uptime Institute. This certification guarantees the continued efficiency of the center's infrastructure in-line with world-class standards. Additionally, the data center's high capacity in terms of server numbers, storage space, and advanced processing capabilities suitable for big data and AI technologies, offer a fertile ground for further expansion of Najm's smart systems to serve more regions in the Kingdom, as well as connect various beneficiaries from the insurance sector and other relevant national entities.

Notably, Najm has designed and implemented the new data center including its systems, internal networks, and internal and external communications channels based on cybersecurity standards set by the National Cybersecurity Authority, in aims to achieve and abide by the highest security levels throughout Najm's infrastructure and data centers.
