Dr. Clifford N. Share Announces Retirement

PORT ORANGE, Fla. - Oct. 9, 2020 - PRLog -- Dr. Clifford N. Share is pleased to announce his retirement after serving ophthalmology patients in Port Orange for 40 years.

"It's been my pleasure to help generations of families with their vision since 1980," said Dr. Share. "I want to personally thank all of my patients for trusting me with their care, and the care of their children and grandchildren, for all these years," Dr. Share added. He has been receiving cards and letters and said he 'appreciates all of the good wishes and thankfulness'.

Dr. Share was the first ophthalmologist in Port Orange and performed many cataract surgeries. He said his first five years were 'lean' with just a population of 17K people in Port Orange, but by 2020, he was operating on ten times the number of patients he was in 1980. In the beginning, the office staff included Dr. Share and his wife, then Dr. Share and a receptionist. In the end, Dr. Share had four employees that have all worked at the office from 26 to 35 years.

The building that Dr. Share's office was in at 741 Dunlawton Avenue has been leased and all patient records have been relocated to Tomoka Eye Associates, Port Orange at 790 Dunlawton Ave., Suite A. "I have fostered a close, professional relationship with the physicians at Tomoka Eye Associates over the years," said Dr. Share. "I'm pleased to announce that many of our staff, that of course are familiar with all of our patients, are now working at Tomoka Eye," Dr. Share added.

Dr. Share said he looks forward to playing tennis and spending more time with family in retirement.
