Fifty-four percent of adults 25 years or older do not have a college degree in the United States; yet, many of the top-paying jobs are considered essential workers
To identify the highest-paying jobs, AdvisorSmith used data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics to see which occupations had more than 50 percent of workers without a college degree. AdvisorSmith discovered the top 100 occupations and ranked them based on their annual median salary.
All the top professions had an annual median salary that was well above the national median wage of $39,810. Out of the top 25 occupations, the most common high-paying job was first-line supervisors of construction trades and extraction workers.
