United Way of Greater Waterbury President to be awarded Community Partnership Award

Main Street Waterbury will host an in-person event and offer a virtual live viewing ticket option for those unable to attend at the Palace Theater due to COVID-19 health concerns.
 
WATERBURY, Conn. - Oct. 8, 2020 - PRLog -- Main Street Waterbury (MSW) will be awarding its 2020 Community Partnership Award to Kristen Jacoby of Woodbury, President of the United Way of Greater Waterbury at the Palace Theater in Waterbury on Wednesday night, November 11th.

The Award, created by non-profit Main Street Waterbury, celebrates the leadership and contributions of the late Stephen R. Sasala, former CEO of the Waterbury Regional Chamber and former president of MSW Board of Directors. It is presented to a commendable individual whose initiative, leadership, and personal commitment embody the spirit of partnership and community involvement.

Kristen Jacoby is currently the President of the United Way of Greater Waterbury, an independent 501C (3) with annual revenues of $4M+ that creates positive change in the areas of Education, Financial Stability and Basic Needs. She has fostered a common vision for the agency and continuously works to meet and exceed United Way's 13 Membership Requirements and 34 "Standards of Excellence".

Prior to coming to United Way, Kristen was Director of Business Development & Government Relations for American Medical Response. For 10 years, Kristen worked at the American Cancer Society, receiving numerous accolades and awards for her work.

Kristen continues to demonstrate strong community leadership and partnership building which embody the true spirit of this prestigious award.

For those unable to attend in-person due to safety concerns or at high risk, a virtual ticket option is available for those who would like to participate and show their support.
