Ashley Carlson Appointed Deputy Publisher at TouchPoint Press
By: TouchPoint Press
Carlson has worked with TouchPoint Press for five years, beginning as an editorial intern and transitioning to a media intern. After her internship ended, she accepted a permanent position as associate editor. She quickly promoted to senior editor and also managed the publicity and acquisitions departments.
"Ashley started as an intern when TouchPoint was in its infancy. She was eager to learn all she could, but what I noticed immediately was her natural brilliance and an uncanny ability to multitask," said Sheri Williams, Publisher and Owner. "At one point, Ashley wore more hats than most would ever consider. She handled incoming submissions, oversaw the media team, oversaw editorial and media interns, managed the Faith imprint, and also worked as a senior editor. She also reviewed and vetted intern and employment applications. To say she has earned her promotion is seriously an understatement. I am proud to have her as our Deputy Publisher as well as a senior editor. I am blessed to call her a friend and look forward to growing TouchPoint together."
"I have loved watching and helping this company grow and cannot wait to see what the future holds," said Carlson.
Carlson earned a BA in English Literature from Grand Canyon University. While she is open to pitches for various genres, historical fiction, Christian fiction and nonfiction and romance novels hold a special place in her heart. A Navy wife and mother of two, Carlson lives with her family in Norfolk, Virginia.
