WILMINGTON, N.C. - Oct. 1, 2020 - PRLog -- The City Club of Wilmington has raised much needed funds for NourishNC & other Cape Fear region non-profit organizations in their ongoing 2020 Year of Giving Membership Campaign. For the remainder of 2020, City Club will accept a $500 charitable contribution in lieu of their normal $1,500 initiation fee to become a club member. The joining member decides which participating charity they would like to benefit.

"2020 has been challenging on many levels and our charity partners have experienced increased demands during the pandemic.  We are honored to help them make a positive impact," said Jonathan Weiss, Managing Partner of City Club of Wilmington.

Other organizations that received funds during the first round of checks included Wilmington Central Rotary, Family Promise of the Lower Cape Fear, The Harrelson Center and Strut For Kids.

Personal and corporate club memberships are available, with 100% of the funds going to the charity.  In addition to the local club, members gain access to a network of more than 50 private clubs around the world. Interested parties should contact membership director, Lucy Petakos, at 910-343-1880 Ext 210 or lucy@cityclubofwilmington.com for a tour of The City Club.
