VPI Now Offering Low-Cost 4K HDMI Video Test Pattern Generator

AURORA, Ohio - Sept. 30, 2020 - PRLog -- Aurora, OH: Video Products Inc (VPI) today announced the addition of the Low-Cost 4K HDMI Video Test Pattern Generator to its popular line of Test Pattern Generators. The test generator is a battery powered, portable, and compact unit that generates video test patterns for evaluating 4K HDMI displays.

The MONTEST-HD4K-LC generates sixteen test patterns and seven timings, which include color bar, gray, grid, and block. The front panel control button cycles through the sixteen test patterns, and the front panel switch is used to select one of the seven resolutions. The generator supports 3840x2160 and 4096x2160 Ultra-HD 4Kx2K resolutions at 30/60Hz, and 1080p HDTV resolutions at 60 Hz.

HDMI features supported include: HDMI 2.0; 4:4:4 YCbCr, 4:2:2 YCbCr, and RGB; and 24-bit deep color. The unit analyzes HDCP compliance and version, and is HDCP 2.2 and 1.4 compliant. It supports maximum 594MHz pixel frequency, and features LED indicators which provide a quick way to view power status and HDCP version. The MONTEST-HD4K-LC is powered by the included 9V alkaline battery or AC adapter, and saves the last HDCP and pattern setting values when it shuts off.
