LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Sept. 30, 2020 - PRLog -- Lee Enterprises Consulting Inc., the world's premier bio-economy consulting group, is pleased to announce the addition of (Ret.) Vice Admiral Dennis McGinn to its Finance Team in a special role to assist investors and project developers in vetting, due diligence and presentation of new projects.

McGinn has worked with Lee Enterprises Consulting since 2018 and currently serves as Senior Group Advisor.  He served as Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Energy, Installations and Environment from 2013 – 2017, and is the former President of the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) and a past member of the Steering Committee of the Energy Future Coalition, United States Energy Security Council, Bipartisan Policy Center Energy Board, and CNA Military Advisory Board.  In addition to his role as Senior Advisor for Lee Enterprises Consulting, McGinn currently serves as a board member for the Rocky Mountain Institute, Customer First Renewables, Willdan Group Inc., HALO Maritime Systems, and is a senior adviser to the Electric Power Research Institute, Scripps Institute of Oceanography and the Center for Climate and Security.

"For many years, we have assisted project developers with business plans, feasibility studies, techno- economic analysis, and project presentations to investors. On the other side, we have provided due diligence and project oversight for investors in these types of projects," says CEO Wayne Lee.  "What we have observed during these many years is that having credible third parties assisting in the presentation to investors significantly increases the chances of favorable funding decisions."

Lee Enterprises Consulting's COO, Dr. Terry Mazanec agrees. "We have several very high profile experts like Adm. McGinn within our group, and have come to realize that it might be very advantageous for some clients to have these experts take a more active role in both evaluating their projects and presenting them to investors."

LEC Finance Section EVP, Glenn Farris, believes that investment in bioeconomy projects is currently showing signs of significant upward growth.  "We are seeing quite investors and funds having directives to make more investments in renewables," says Farris.  "While we know that investors are certainly very capable of evaluating the financials, we also know that most do not have the subject matter expertise to properly evaluate the technology nor the inputs and assumptions upon which the financials are based.  As we have done these reports for investors for years, it just made sense to have known credible experts assist in the presentation process."
