Actuated Medical Offers Employees Paid Time Off to Work Polls

BELLEFONTE, Pa. - Sept. 11, 2020 - PRLog -- Maureen L. Mulvihill, PhD, president and CEO of Actuated Medical, Inc., recently announced the company's decision to offer employees paid time off for anyone who chooses to work polls or assist with counting mail-in ballots.

"No matter who you would like to be the next President, we need a fair election," Dr. Mulvihill stated in the email to employees. "There is a shortage of poll workers. […] Therefore, Actuated Medical will be offering paid time off for employees that work at the polls or assist with mail in ballot counting - to thank you for doing your civic duty."

Actuated Medical allows employees to either work the polls during the 2020 General Election on November 3 or help mail-in ballot counting. The paid time off is exclusive to the 2020 presidential election and is in addition to existing employee benefits.

At least three employees committed to working the polls within hours of the announcement. Actuated Medical employs 20 full time team members.
