American Airlines Cancellation Policy

ARCADIA, Fla. - Sept. 11, 2020 - PRLog -- American Airlines offers a 24 Hour Cancellation policy. You can get a full refund of your booking amount if you cancel your flight within the first 24 hours of its making. However, your American Airlines reservations must be made at least 24 hours before the flight departure time. Group Block reservations do not qualify for 24-hour cancellation.

If you have purchased your tickets directly from American Airlines, You can cancel and request a refund online for your flights. The refund will credit back to the original source of payment within seven days. For flyers who have paid their ticket amount via check or cash, the airline will process your refund within 20 days after receiving a complete refund request from your end. You do not have to worry because your ticket value is safe with the airline. If your trip is canceled, the American Airlines will send you an email about the same to rebook your trip. You will be provided with flight credits that you can use for your future travel.

Due to a massive amount of requests and calls, it might take longer than usual for the airline to get back to you; however, you can expect a reply within at least seven days if your ticket qualifies for a refund. You can also request for the receipt for any in-flight purchases, tickets, and fees, as the airline keeps a history of your transaction for future references.
