Certified Teachers Assist with Remote Learning

BANNOCKBURN, Ill. - Sept. 10, 2020 - PRLog -- BANNOCKBURN, IL — Pod Education, LLC announces that it has hired certified teachers to instruct "pods" of students engaged in remote learning, assisting working parents and those that desire at-home instruction by licensed teachers.  Founded upon the principle that all students deserve the highest quality education, even during periods of remote instruction, Pod Education, LLC provides an important resource to shore up the deficiencies inherent in remote learning.

         "Nothing beats live, in-person instruction," notes Kenneth J. Ashman, co-founder and a former teacher.  "Parents demand and deserve a top-quality education for their students, and providing certified instructors to facilitate learning, at home, while the child engages in remote instruction affords parents the opportunity to provide educational excellence during difficult times."  Ashman is a practicing attorney and a member of his local school board (the company does not service students in his district), and he formerly served as a Due Process Hearing Officer adjudicating disputes between parents and school districts on the services to be provided to special education students.

         All teachers are licensed, certified and in good standing, and all have undergone background checks and passed reference examinations.  Both teachers and the families they serve commit to adhering to proper safety protocols for COVID adherence.

         "For a little more than paying minimum wage," notes co-founder Debbie Tucker, "parents can have an in-person certified instructor in their home assisting and facilitating learning for their child, affording parents the freedom, comfort and confidence they need to meet their own responsibilities."  Tucker, an event planner by trade, brings organizational and logistical skills to the company, ensuring proper teacher placement, facilitating the parent-student-teacher relationship, overseeing recruitment, developing pod creation, and providing customer service functions to the organization.

Pod Education, LLC was created due to the demand of parents for supplemental education for their children while they are engaged in remote learning.  While school districts do their best under trying circumstances, it is difficult to replace the benefits of in-person instruction. Unlike other facilitators, Pod Education, LLC only hires certified and licensed teachers.  It is not a matchmaking service; rather, all of its teachers are direct employees, which are placed in pods of students at parents' homes.  Each employee has undergone a background and reference check, and Pod Education, LLC is fully insured.  Both teachers and parents sign written obligations to conform to published safety COVID protocols.  Pod Education provides this service at a cost to parents at a bit over minimum wage per child.
