Follow on Google News | Sunshine Ace Hardware raises over $37,000 for Children's Miracle Network through summer campaignBy: Sunshine Ace Hardware From July 1 through Aug. 31, Sunshine Ace customers were able to make donations and round up their purchases at the register to support Children's Miracle Network. Between July 31 and Aug. 2, customers also had the option of donating $5 for a limited-edition, blue 5-gallon Ace Hardware bucket to receive a 20% discount on nearly everything that could fit inside the bucket. Donations raised at Sunshine Ace locations in Collier, Lee and Charlotte counties support Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida in Fort Myers, while donations at stores in Manatee and Pinellas counties support Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg. "We launched a summer fundraising campaign because nonprofits typically struggle to raise money this time of year," said Michael Wynn, president of Sunshine Ace Hardware. "Given the current economy, the results of our campaign speak volumes. The people of Southwest Florida support the incredible work being carried out every day at Golisano and Johns Hopkins. These hospitals are not just making a difference in children's lives; they're saving children's lives." The "Round up at the Registers" summer campaign was Sunshine Ace's third fundraising initiative of 2020 for Children's Miracle Network. Combined, the campaigns have raised more than $60,000 this year. http://www.sunshineace.com. End
