Congressional Black Caucus Chair Karen Bass Headlines

LOS ANGELES - Aug. 28, 2020 - PRLog -- Congressional Black Caucus Chair Karen Bass will headline the presentation ceremony of the Noted Community Philanthropist Award to Los Angeles Urban Policy Roundtable President Earl Ofari Hutchinson. The award will be presented the first week of September and will be Facebook Livestreamed

Hutchinson was chosen for the award by the Justice for Marc Fitzsimmons Committee. According to Committee President Donna Dymally, "Hutchinson has worked tirelessly and effectively to build self-reliance and self-sustainability through its donor program of cash grants and awards to dozens of community grassroots organizations and individuals over the years. We are proud to honor him and the Los Angeles Urban Policy Roundtable for their vital community assistance work."

The Los Angeles Urban Policy Roundtable has given more than 200 cash grants and awards to organizations and individuals since it launched its donor program in 2015. On September 1, 2020, the Los Angeles Urban Policy Roundtable awarded ten cash grants to the St. John the Baptist Social Services Organization in Baldwin Park, California. The organizations provide social services assistance to low income families.  The grants were awarded to 10 families to assist in payment of their utility bills and other necessities.
