Visual Artist Kae Cheatham Maintains a Strong Online Presence

Visual Artist Kae Cheatham (Kae C's Images) maintains more than a dozen online collections for public viewing and purchase. They range from traditional photography to eclectic art work.

GREAT FALLS, Mont. - Aug. 25, 2020 - PRLog -- Kae Cheatham of Helena, Montana, has been a professional photographer since 1987 when she began capturing various equine events and rural activities on film. Traditional 35mm SLRs were Kae's cameras of preference in the 1980s and '90s, but since 2002 she has embraced the digital era. Today she has an online presence through Kae C's Images FaceBook Fan Page, the commercial POD outlet of Fine Art America (FAA), and several stock photography agencies, where her images maintain her interest in rural enterprise and activities..

"Taking a photograph is easier than ever," says Kae, a member of the Helena Photographic Society. "The digital age has truly given many people the opportunity to capture their memories and fantasies, and upload them to the World Wide Web." While Cheatham finds this global influx of photographs exhilarating, she is aware that professional photographers can often be lost in the slush of amateurs. "I decided it was necessary to take my images to another level so they would be unique from other works."

Often called, image manipulation, Kae chooses to refer to it as digital enhancement. She has developed her own style, and creates texture overlays for some images. She enjoys creating digitally-painted backgrounds for her subjects, too. "I like working with the computer brushes and pallets, but I don't feel a need to augment every photograph."

Along with "Digital Enhancement," Kae's FAA collections include "Made in Montana" for Montana scenes and interests, "Digital Abstracts" that includes a large array of computer art/digital paintings. "Horses" highlights some of the images that began her photographic career. Her "Greeting Cards" gallery offers images with phrases, and at FAA buyers can have their own messages written on the inside of the 5x7 card. Gift stores can buy note cards in volume at substantial discounts. Tapestries and face masks are also available.

Through the years, Kae's photographs have been used in many publications, including Orion Magazine, American Cowboy, Royal Wings (an international in-flight magazine), and Pro Rodeo World (along with her articles); photos have been included as illustrations in several books. Her work has been exhibited at The Myrna Loy Center for Visual Arts [Helena,MT], Boulder (MT) Hot Springs Conference Center, D.A. Davison [Helena, MT offices], and ongoing at Genesis Frame Shop and Gallery

Kae has been employed in a variety of positions, from research analyst to magazine editor. She has authored thirteen published books, and for 15 years gave history presentations through the Humanities Montana Speakers Bureau.
