Pulse CPSEA Board Chair Marissa Abram Becomes a Fellow of NY Academy of Medicine

WANTAGH, N.Y. - Aug. 25, 2020 - PRLog -- Leading patient safety organization Pulse Center for Patient Safety Education & Advocacy is proud to share the news that its Board Chair, Dr. Marissa Abram (PhD, PMHNP-BC), has been approved as a Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine (NYAM).

Dr. Abram is an Assistant Professor at Adelphi University, in the College of Nursing and Public Health.

As Chair of the Pulse CPSEA Board of Directors, she led the Board in formulating Pulse's strategic plan in 2016.

Dr. Abram is currently practicing at the Town of Babylon's Division of Alcohol and Drug Treatment Beacon Family Wellness Center. She received Modern Healthcare's 2017 Excellence in Nursing: Rising Star award.

"Patient safety is always front and center in my work, and Pulse CPSEA helps keep this as a focus," Abram explains.  "Pulse is a reminder of the importance of patient-centered care."
