-- Red Hot! A Little Firetruck Gets Bullied in Children's Adventure
What Should Be Done About Bullies?
For all the kids out there who ever wanted to be a firefighter, this is one book they can relate to. It's the story of Jimmy, the Little Red Firetruck, who gets bullied because he's so much smaller than the other firetrucks.
Author/volunteer fireman Scott Rice draws on his firefighting experience to bring the world of a busy firehouse to life. In his creative children's book about bullying, the story is told by the firetrucks who have eyes and mouths as they interact with people and each other.
But it's Jimmy, the Little Red Firetruck who steals the show, when he gets picked on by the big ladder trucks and must decide what to do. The wonderful illustrations by Ashley Grego make the emergency vehicles unforgettable.
Scott Rice lives in Crowley, Texas, were he is a postal carrier and a volunteer fireman. His first two books were about fire prevention. His next book will continue Jimmy's adventures.
