Ready America Announces The Recall Of Assured Hand Sanitizer For Potential Health Risk

VISTA, Calif. - Aug. 21, 2020 - PRLog -- Ready America, Inc. is voluntarily recalling the Assured Hand Sanitizer distributed by Greenbrier International, Inc. because the product may contain an ingredient that may cause health risks.

The product being recalled may have been contaminated by Methanol.

Symptoms are burning in the area the product was applied, headache, blurred vision, nausea and vomiting, loss of coordination, and a decreased level of consciousness. The methanol has a direct toxic effect on the optic nerve, and ingestion can lead to blindness.

Ready America sold Assured Hand Sanitizer under Item # 71760, and it may also be inside Ready America kit # 70460, 71641, 74247, 74255, 74256, Z00027, Z00052, Z00066, Z00167, Z00168, Z00170, Z00179 and Z00180.

Ready America immediately segregated its entire inventory of Assured Hand Sanitizer product and is notifying consumers and customers not to consume them.  Consumers in possession of this product should not consume them, rather the product should be returned to Ready America, Inc. for replacement.
