Find Your ID NYC Presents: Five Days Until the #BlackoutFundraiser

NEW YORK - Aug. 11, 2020 - PRLog -- Five more days until Find Your ID NYC (https://fyidnyc.com/) will stream the #BlackoutFundraiser, a mass-coordinated Instagram Live fundraiser event. Partnered with 30+ top U.S. Black event producers and non-profit organizers, the #BlackoutFundraiser aims to raise $100,000 to support Black-led social and political organizations that address racial injustices. Inspired by the prolific Marcus Garvey's Universal Negro Improvement, FYID NYC and its collaborators are working towards the development of community enriching investments to provide opportunities for Black communities. This collaboration will collect funding for the protection of Black people and their culture. Each donation given throughout the event will go to organizations such as the Innocence Project and Black Voters Matter.

With the usage of innovative marketing and a dedication to developing creativity, Find Your ID NYC has used its influence to propel diversity and inclusion within the NYC entertainment industry. The global creative agency currently curates platforms for their monthly women's empowerment showcase, #PYNKNYC, and their bi-annual Xchange Fashion Festival. The Blackout Fundraiser initiative vies to establish a cross-generational live event that addresses the importance of Black Lives, Black Culture, and the recognition of equality. The ongoing pandemic provoked collaborators to task themselves with combatting the foreseeable obstacles that may prevent the growth of POC businesses. The #BlackoutFundraiser distinguishes itself by amplifying the voices of these communities with an eight-hour virtual festival. Participating organizations will feature events such as Caribbean fashion presentations, African cooking classes, virtual concerts, slam poetry sessions, film discussions and more!

The event premieres August 16 via Instagram Live from 2 PM EST - 10 PM EST.
