Calculating Minds Connects Knoxville Students with Math Help

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Aug. 8, 2020 - PRLog -- Calculating Minds, a math learning center offering innovative and personalized math tutoring to students in Kindergarten through Algebra, announced today website changes to better connect students in need of math help due to Covid-19 with the resources they need.

After investing significant time developing a website to communicate the company's unique value, management discovered the website had no presence in search. Being a local business highly dependent on people within the local school system being able to find their service, management was distraught.

"Given all the changes in the school this year, we wondered why more students weren't seeking additional math help," said Amy Finch co-founder of Calculating Minds.

Sizyl immediately recognized the Calculating Minds website was not optimized for local search. Most of the text on the site was embedded in images and not being crawled by Google or other search providers.

Google estimates investments in SEO can take upwards of two years to produce results. Calculating Minds needed to gain visibility immediately. Without a big budget to run ads, Sizyl suggested a new website and change in URL. Sizyl pointed out that a more descriptive URL would have big benefits in local search.

Sizyl was also able to develop a new website within a week. The company's new URL is math-learning-center.com which matches one of the key search phrases student use to find help. Within 24 hours the site was ranking in the top 3 for eight key search terms, and the site is continuing to gain traction. Calculating Minds is now achieving a greater search share than several of the large national learning center franchises.

"We're not website experts and didn't really know what to do to get our website seen by students in the local community," said Dee Morgan co-founder of Calculating Minds. "Sizyl made a big difference quickly and affordably."

At the time of this release Google had not totally indexed the full site and both Calculating Minds and Sizyl believe it will perform even better in the days to come.
