-- Uncle Pat is an elderly, reserved Aussie bloke who's quite shy. He lives a simple life on his little farm in a run-down shabby old shack not far out of town. His passion is to collect all kinds of wonderful Aussie animals, the more unusual the better.
Join Uncle Pat on a stroll around his farm in this exciting and interactive children's adventure. The challenge in the story is to follow the clues and try to guess the name of each of the beautifully depicted dozen animals, before Uncle Pat reveals them when you turn to the next page.
Some animals are cute and cuddly, while others are scary and ugly. Some you may recognize and have heard of before. Others will astound and amaze. All are illustrated in glorious color and will especially be enjoyed by children of ages 3 to 10.
Grant Ireland grew up in Rockhampton in Central Queensland, Australia, known as the "Beef Capital of the World." The attorney now lives in a small seaside town called Emu Park, a gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. "I like to be creative and spent many years teaching young children how to swim. It is my wish that this book is both enjoyable and educational. I have four grandchildren and can think of nothing better than to write a book that comes from the heart, and at the same time is one they will hopefully enjoy." This is his first book.
