BALTIMORE - Aug. 5, 2020 - PRLog -- The B&O Railroad Museum is excited to announce their first ever onsite farmers market on Wednesday, August 12. The B&O and the famous Fell's Point Farmers Market has joined forces to bring a community-centered, safe-shopping farmer's market in the main parking lot of the Museum. The farmers market will be open from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesdays through September 30.

Founder and onsite manager of the highly successful Fell's Point Farmers Market, Merritt Dworkin, plans to bring many of the same vendors to the B&O Railroad Museum, while also adding some new local vendors. The market format will be the same with vendors selling a variety of prepared food and handmade masks, including fresh LOCAL produce, fruits, flowers, eggs, meats and cheeses, homemade jams and honey, and much more.

The new location in the front parking lot of the Museum at 901 West Pratt Street offers ease of access by car with free onsite parking, bicycle, on foot, and organizers hope to attract the neighbors as well as those working in nearby hospitals, the Maryland Proton Treatment Center and surrounding buildings.

"We're really excited to be able to start a Farmer's Market on this side of the city," said Merritt Dworkin, Market Manager. "While we are starting a little late in the season, we're so excited for this partnership with the B&O team's help and generosity in providing a large, easily accessible space that we think both our vendors and patrons are going to love."

"We are so pleased to partner with Merritt Dworkin and the Fell's Point Farmers Market" said Kris Hoellen, Executive Director of the B&O Railroad Museum.  "We take our role seriously as a community anchor and hope this Farmers Market can address any food insecurities that may exist and make it easier for people to acquire fresh produce."

All CDC COVID guidelines will be implemented and enforced at this location. Masks ARE required and NO pets are allowed. For more information, please visit www.BORail.events/FarmersMarket. For vendor details or inquiries, please contact Merritt Dworkin at 410-258-9658.
