Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani Praised For His Philanthropic Activities

In the year 2013, Dr. Rajan Mahtani via his company Finance Bank Zambia launched the Steven Malama award. This award was established for honouring the late Steven Malama an esteemed legal professional in Zambia. The award is given on an annual basis to the top graduating student from the ZIALE (Zambia Institute of Advanced Legal Education) and also qualified for the Bar in their first attempt. The award comprises of a certificate, a plaque and a prize money worth K15,000. This award has been hailed as extremely beneficial for those coming from difficult backgrounds. Furthermore, the award and the reward money also motivates legal students to prepare harder for the exams.
In the year 2019- 20, the award was given to Emmnuel Bwalya Kaluba, who penned his gratitude via an article at the Daily Mail.
