Ron Throop Write-in Campaign for NY Senate District 48

OSWEGO, N.Y. - Aug. 3, 2020 - PRLog -- Ron Throop of Oswego, NY is running for Senator of New York's 48th District as a write-in candidate. Since Senator Patty Ritchie is running unopposed for the fourth time, Throop has offered his service to the district, and will complete the two-year term donating his salary to a district non-profit. COVID-19 has made door-to-door signature gathering impossible to do safely, so Throop has decided to run for the office as a write-in candidate.

Throop believes it is unconscionable to have only one choice on the ballot for State Senator. Patty Ritchie and the Republican party most often do not represent district interests.

As a citizen of the 48th (which is gerrymandered enormous), Throop feels it is his duty to donate his time and person to offer a choice to the people of the 48th.

Throop, a registered Democrat, is running as a write-in candidate. He hopes to bring the people's progressive voice to Albany in January 2021.

Throop is an artist living and working in the beautiful city of Oswego. He plans to spend the summer getting the word out and traveling the 5,000 square mile district.
