Marshall Barnes Points To Mission - Earth:12KB4 As Only Option, As Physicists See Societal Collapse

Mission - Earth:12KB4, a well developed effort to complete the R&D making cutting edge time travel to the past possible to set-up bases and then settlements that large numbers of people could escape to - 12,000 years in the past. From mining, safe havens and an extension of National Security for the US and its allies, there's no space program holding a candle to it.  The cost? Only $100,000 for R&D that then it pays for itself from the billions of profits from mining the same kinds of minerals the space industry hopes to glean from asteroids - but at a substantially higher cost.
