Local Martial Arts Academies Unite in Effort to Bring Awareness and Military Aid to Armenia

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - July 22, 2020 - PRLog -- With the purpose of better supporting the people of Armenia -- a country which many academy members and staff are originally from and maintain close ties to -- Elite Institute and Hayastan MMA have officially merged their two academies. The announcement comes as the Armenian people are embroiled in cultural and territorial disputes with neighboring Azerbaijan.

The two companies are uniting their efforts to support Armenia not with weapons, but in encouraging not just desperately needed humanitarian efforts such as food and water, clothing and medicine--but also manpower, education and experiential knowledge of the matter at hand that comes in the form of advanced, military-style training.

"Manpower and training is just as significant in these situations as is humanitarian needs, but that's not to take away from the importance of all of it collectively," says academy founder and instructor Arthur C.

The dispute between Armenia and Azerbaijan has reached a critical point, as the two nations have been locked in conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh -- a region of Azerbaijan that Armenia has controlled since 1994. Azerbaijani forces are attacking Armenia beyond the border while threatening to do more damage such as destroying nuclear facilities and other infrastructure.

"With such a scarce population, U.S. Armenians in the diaspora must do everything in our power and capability to help our country thrive -- we must keep our people headstrong, confident and proud, while providing them with any resources they might need, whether it is manpower or other useful equipment. This merger of our two academies is our way of helping in these efforts."

The organizers' hope their partnership will aid in bringing awareness to Armenia through their added support –– while developing new connections between young Armenian diasporans and the Armenian nation itself.
