Thiel College Vice President for Enrollment completes Executive Leadership Academy

GREENVILLE, Pa. - July 21, 2020 - PRLog -- Thiel College Vice President for Enrollment Management Ashley Josay Zullo recently completed a year-long higher education leadership program.

The Executive Leadership Academy is a year-long program for individuals from member institutions of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities and the Council of Independent Colleges. Nominated by the presidents of their institutions, Executive Leadership Academy participants hold college and university vice presidencies and other cabinet-level positions and aspire to presidencies and similar senior-level positions. Zullo was among 28 participants, who came from 18 states. Among the program's presenters were top leaders from several colleges and universities including the presidents of Wofford College (S.C.), University of Maryland Eastern Shore and Sam Houston State (Texas).

The academy year is comprised of two national seminars, readings, group projects, a Professional Experience Plan and mentorship experiences.

Since 2009, 85 of the participants in the nine cohorts that have completed the Executive Leadership Academy have been appointed as presidents or chancellors, and many more have advanced to other senior positions.

Prior to coming to Thiel College (https://www.thiel.edu/) in 2017, Zullo served as the director of admissions at Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pa. for five years. Zullo has a Bachelor of Arts in communications with an emphasis in public relations from Bethany College. She earned a Masters of Education in elementary education from Seton Hill University.
