Unreasonable Kids™ recognized through the UN SDG Action Solidarity Award

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - July 20, 2020 - PRLog -- Unreasonable Kids™ is a social enterprise with one goal to train the next generation of Kid-Superheroes, a Newport News, Virginia based non-profit founded by Ateba Gaines. Unreasonable Kids™ has been selected by the UN SDG Action Campaign as one of the Solidarity Award's featured stories, a special call from the annual UN SDG Action Awards 2020.

In response to Covid-19, Unreasonable Kids™ created a virtual empowerment series where aspiring social entrepreneurs were able to tune in to free virtual sessions and connect with social entrepreneurs around the world. Participants pitched their social entrepreneurship ideas and collaborated with industry professionals to build solutions to community problems.

The Unreasonable Kids™ empowerment series overcame the challenge of being restricted to social distancing and utilized an unexpectedly dark, isolated season as an opportunity to spark creativity and connection beyond borders. As a result of Unreasonable Kids' commitment to building sustainable communities and training the next generation of superheroes, community leaders around the world, navigating a challenging present, came together to strategize a better tomorrow.
