Follow on Google News | Pandamoon Publishing Sets Launch Date for Southern Grit-Lit Crime Mystery FUR by Ward Parker"We are delighted to bring this sequel to PARIAH to the world. Like its predecessor, this crime mystery is told with the same characteristic sense of humor and eye for absurdity that has made Zeke Adams something of a folk anti-hero. There's a little bit of everything readers loved in the original but seasoned with new, often outlandish situations serving as comic relief to the more serious aspects of the story, namely murder," said Zara Kramer, Publisher at Pandamoon Publishing. "Teens are lighting firecrackers at front doors, ringing doorbells, and running away. When one of them is shot and killed by a homeowner, it looks like the shooter will get off under Florida's Stand Your Ground law. But then, the shooter ends up bludgeoned to death with a golf club," author Ward Parker explains. "The dead teen's adoptive father, Jimmy, an old friend of Zeke Adams, is arrested for the murder. Adams, a former sleazy tabloid journalist and landlord to a menagerie of weird tenants, promises to save his friend by finding the real murderer," Parker continues. "The investigation takes Zeke into the worlds of kinky furries, animal-rights militants, anti-government militias, horny dolphins, a wayward alligator, and a conspiracy-buff assassin who has Zeke in his sights. He uncovers the dead shooter's profession — opposition research on politicians, which includes scandalous video footage of a U.S. Congressman. If the video goes public, it could create turmoil in the upcoming election." Parker is a member of the Horror Writers Association and his short fiction has been published in numerous literary, mainstream, and genre publications. His latest, FUR, joins Pandamoon Publishing's growing catalog of gritty crime mysteries including A ROCKY DIVORCE and JUGGLING KITTENS by Matt Coleman, as well as ON THE BRICKS and KRICKET by Penni Jones.
