Author Writes Novel about Ramesses III and Finds Out She's Related to Him!

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - July 15, 2020 - PRLog -- Pharaoh's Shadow is a historical fiction novel about the conspiracy to murder Ramesses III. Ever since Tasha was a child, she has been enamored with ancient Egyptian history. If she didn't have sun allergies, she would have likely pursued a career as an Egyptologist. Prickly skin and random blackouts due to overexposure quickly convinced her that this was not a practical vocation.

Her love of history is deeply rooted in a fond appreciation of her own family tree. As more and more family members passed away, it became increasingly apparent to her that she needed to memorialize as much as possible before her own family history was forever lost to time.

After about a month of impatiently waiting for DNA results, she learned that she shared an ancient paternal lineage with Ramesses III, the reigning pharaoh of the twentieth dynasty in ancient Egypt. She would never have known that she belonged to the same haplogroup, along with all of his paternal-line descendants, had it not been for the CT scans of his mummy conducted only a few years ago by Dr. Zahi Hawass, the archaeologist who wrote her book's foreword.

People never change—5,000 years ago or today. They always want what they do not deserve or do not have. Murder is as old as history itself. The conspiracy to kill pharaoh awakens the forgotten past and a thirst to save a golden empire. Madison paints an elaborate picture of ancient Egypt and the hunt to save a warrior king that I thoroughly enjoyed. —Ramy Romany, Egyptologist and EMMY® Award-Winning Cinematographer
