WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - July 14, 2020 - PRLog -- Matters dealing with children of parents living in separate households have always been a sensitive and complex issue. The current situation of COVID-19 lockdowns, quarantines and social distancing has even further complicated the matter for many people.

Matthew Brickman, President of iMediate Inc. and a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator has offered some insight to people experiencing these issues. He began by stating, "I am not giving anyone legal advice...but I've recently conducted 54 virtual mediations (during COVID-19) and here are the effects that I've seen as a mediator."

He went on to say, "In regards time sharing (what people sometimes refer to as child custody) people somehow believe that they can dictate how the other parent may or may not enforce these rules in an existing parenting plan. People have gone as far as to restrict - which violates their current orders. Many judges have stated that the parties have a court order until they get a new court order."

Matthew Brickman can mediate in-person or virtually online to help people anywhere in the world settle their disputes. He contends that traditional courtroom litigation gives away the power of the parties to leave their matter up to a judge to decide. Through mediation, he empowers people with the knowledge and insight as how a court would view their matter so that they can create the best resolution for both parties to resolve their differences.

Matthew Brickman is the host of the Mediate This! divorce and paternity podcast along with co-host Sydney Mitchell:
