Reducing Novel COVID-19 Stress from a Novel Source
Local Library Presents a Workshop with Anxiety Relief Expert
By: City Test Prep
On Saturday, July 18th at 1 p.m. PDT, the Marin County Free Library hosts an online experiential workshop, Embodying Calm Amid COVID-19 Chaos: An Experiential Workshop with Bara Sapir, CEO/Founder of City Test Prep. Participants will be invited to slow down, look inward, and employ methods that provide support for navigating our strange, hopefully temporary, new normal.
Anyone who desires greater daily ease or is seeking stability in these uncertain times is encouraged to register. Living up to MCFL's mission "to provide welcoming, equitable, and inclusive opportunities for all to connect, learn and explore," this workshop provides an opportunity to build community in our shared endeavours toward wellness… even while we remain socially distant.
The workshop is not MCFL's first collaboration with Bara Sapir. She has presented at the library's branches several times for students and their parents, as well as in schools, on webinars, podcasts and at conferences. Sapir is a pioneer in the test preparation landscape, bridging the worlds of education with holistic mindful modalities. For MCFL, she will present transferable mindset techniques which will alleviate the angst prompted by the realities of staying healthy and safe from COVID-19. Working professionals, retirees, recently minted stay-at-home parents, students headed to take an important exam, and anyone who needs to relax, recenter, and stay grounded will benefit. In this workshop, participants will learn ways to:
• Stay grounded in the present moment
• Embody a sense of well-being during this time of uncertainty
• Increase capacity for focus and optimal performance
• Access inner intuition
Making it through a pandemic with your mental health intact is no easy feat. After all, these challenges have never been experienced by the majority of the world's inhabitants!
