Available Meetings Costa del Sol post covid 19
Post Covid-19 first lock down the question that everyone is asking the team is which Alcoholics Anonymous meetings have returned to prison to person gatherings and what are the restrictions?
• Lots of meetings took place online using the online Zoom APP and have continued to work in that manner.
• A new version of "hybrid" meeting has developed. This means that the alcoholic has the option to attend face to face or via the internet.
• Face to face meetings have returned. Some meetings are insisting on the wearing of face masks. I did ask one person when the group conscience was taken regarding mandatory face mask wearing but I did not receive a response. And then there are the normal face to face meetings. Not sure if there is a limit on the number of people who can attend, but there might be so it might be a good idea to either arrive early or call prior too attending to find out the rules and regulations. Each meeting is autonomous and we are talking about a group of Alcoholics here so one never knows what is going to take place next.
• If you need to speak someone outside of the meeting, make a call, try to connect, most people are pretty decent people. Be aware of those people in the meetings who "talk a good game", things are never as good as they say they are. Just keep your wits about you and you will be ok.
