G. Kofi Annan Named State Coordinator for Global Entrepreneurship Week California

SAN FRANCISCO - July 7, 2020 - PRLog -- Global Entrepreneurship Network announced that G. Kofi Annan of Annansi will serve as the State Coordinator for Global Entrepreneurship Week in California. Mr. Annan will join a selection of individuals who serve as lead coordinators in 21 states to drive engagement in thousands of activities to help start and grow startup ecosystems. Known as Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), the large-scale campaign is active in 170 countries with roughly 9 million participants in 35,000 activities – ranging from small, casual meetups to massive events and competitions. Global Entrepreneurship Week 2020 will be held November 16th – 22nd. The four global themes will focus on Ecosystems, Education, Inclusion, and Policy.

"I am thrilled to help highlight startup and entrepreneurship ecosystems of all sizes in California.", Mr. Annan said. "The state is home to some brilliant and talented people, some who are considering entrepreneurship for the first time. GEW will make entrepreneurship accessible to more Californians, especially those who are underrepresented in business."

Mr. Annan will recruit statewide Community Organizers and encourage hundreds of organizations throughout California to plan and conduct activities during GEW USA. This is a vital role in connecting organizations and key stakeholders to expand awareness and enable the participation of communities not traditionally engaged in entrepreneurial activity.

Organizations in California, and anywhere in the United States, that are interested in planning and conducting an activity, event, or competition during Global Entrepreneurship Week should create a profile and add their event to the official event list.
