Courtney Chicvak Selected to Present at the IACM 33rd Annual Conference

KINGS PARK, N.Y. - July 5, 2020 - PRLog -- Courtney Chicvak was selected to be a presenter at the International Association of Conflict Management (IACM) 33^rd annual conference. Chicvak will virtually present her research paper entitled "Negotiating the Use of Artificial Intelligence in a Futuristic Workplace" as part of the session on System Emergence and Evolution on Wednesday, July 15, 2020.

Chicvak remarked, "I am excited to return to the IACM conference. In 2015, I had received the Advanced Consortium on Cooperation, Conflict and Complexity (AC4) scholarship for Historically Underrepresented Groups and had presented my research at the IACM conference held in Clearwater, Florida. This year, I look forward to contributing to the meaningful discussions regarding the most recent research in the conflict resolution field. Additionally, I hope to learn from the other presenters about their new findings in the conflict resolution field and to understand how these developments can impact my mediation and conflict resolution practitioner work. While I will miss the in-person component of the conference, I am excited that participation will remain accessible to individuals throughout the world." Chicvak's research examines the use of negotiation as an intervention in workplace conflict caused by the implementation of artificial intelligence in an office setting.
