Black Cultural Events Celebrates 200th Weekly Newsletter Issue

Black Cultural Events Celebrates 200th Weekly Issue With Creation of BCE Tribe

LOS ANGELES - July 2, 2020 - PRLog -- BCE Media Inc., parent company of online events calendar BlackCulturalEvents.com and led by CEO Pamela Ashe-Thomas, celebrated a significant milestone for their popular newsletter reaching the 200th consecutive issue of the weekly newsletter Black Cultural Events Weekly. Every week for the last 200 weeks Black Cultural Events has provided music, art, literary, community, and festival event information to the African American community.

Beginning in Los Angeles and then expanding their reach to the Bay Area and Atlanta, the Black Cultural Events newsletter has become a mainstay in providing culturally relevant and up to date event information to an underserved community. Even during the recent stay at home quarantine months due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the Black Cultural Events newsletter has been able to pivot from in-person events to online events to keep the Black community connected to each other and the wider African Diaspora. Through the trying times the newsletter has highlighted events that not only entertain, but also uplift the community.

"Even though advertising dollars have disappeared we have kept forging ahead serving the community and keeping them informed on what events are taking place. Whether it's wellness, entertainment, online festivals or other events, we're here staying connected to the community.," said Pamela Ashe-Thomas, CEO, and co-founder of BCE Media Inc.

In that spirit of serving the community, along with the celebration of the 200th issue, Black Cultural Events has created BCE Tribe (http://bcetribe.com), a paid subscription that allows those that receive the newsletter to show their support and participate in sustaining this valuable resource. The paid subscription ensures that Black Cultural Events will continue to offer the high quality, curated information that subscribers have come to appreciate.

"BCE Tribe is a way to connect with our users and with one another. In times like these we need to lift each other up and reach out to those who may not have any other connections.," said BCE Media Inc. co-founder David Ashe. "We want to encourage as many people as possible to support African American events and businesses in the community. During this unprecedented time of reacting to the pandemic, we are able to offer online events targeted to the African American community at a time when even though we can not be in the same space we need to come together as one."
