Shakolo More Than A Fitness Wear Brand

WASHINGTON - June 24, 2020 - PRLog -- We are a pioneering sportswear brand in Ireland bringing new, fresh and modern designs to the sport wear industry. Right now, we are mainly focused on the women brand, but we are working on something extraordinary for male fitness enthusiasts and body builders.
Shakolo means 'overcoming obstacles', it's actually the middle name of my mother. Who has survived war, a deadly illness, and raised 3 kids alone. It is the perfect name for a fitness brand as so many have obstacles to overcome and constantly strive to exceed others expectations and more importantly the expectations of themselves.
As the owner and a fitness enthusiast, my vision is to fuse comfort and fashion, while making modern and trendy sportswear for all. I am also a novice environmentalist who loves and cares for the environment and wants to make Shakolo an eco-friendly brand. I was born in Liberia, and with the help of backers, plan to open the first fitness apparel manufacturing mill in Liberia where 54% of the population is living below the poverty line, the mill will help provide work for so many and will help the economy immensely.
I currently sell women fitness clothes from a supplier, however, recently my supplier decided to cut ties with me with no valid reasons why. I saw this as a sign to push my designs and launch my collection sooner than I had intended. Hence the Kickstarter campaign. Kickstarter is a crowdfunding platform, giving entrepreneurs such as myself a gateway to make our ideas come true. Once the campaign launches, I have 30days to reach my goal. A backer pledges (promises) an amount, payment is not taken until the full goal amount is met. So if it fails, then the backer is not charged and my project gets nothing. The kickstarter will launch in 1 week, and in order to succeed needs the help of backers. First, interested parties can subscribe to be notified when the campaign launches. Secondly, interested backers can pledge any amount once it is launched. From €20 they get a reward, the more they give the sweeter the reward.
