Maddie previously led strategic initiatives for doctors and health care providers at athenahealth. She has a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Boston College and a master's degree in business administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology – Sloan School of Management.
"Nurses and nursing assistants are the backbone of the health care industry," said Maddie Thoms. "While they give so much to their patients, they have been long underserved by the system.
