He has performed over 7,000 Mohs micrographic surgeries in addition to other procedures. Mohs is a precise surgical technique used to treat skin cancer by which thin layers of cancer-containing skin are progressively removed and examined until only cancer-free tissue remains. Mohs surgery is considered the gold standard in skin cancer treatment due to its high cure rate. It's also cost-effective because it's performed in-house, eliminating costly hospital stays. Other procedures offered by PC Dermatology include excisions, electrodessication and curettage, cryotherapy, topical chemotherapy and immunotherapy and electrocautery. He first became enamored with North Carolina while completing his dermatology residency at Duke University Medical Center.
